Week 82

LOVE seeing new numbers on the scale! This morning, I weighed 172.0. I've now lost 67 pounds. So proud of myself.

Thursday - I didn't make it to Curves this morning. This UTI is kicking my butt! But I'm hoping to get into the dr. today. I thought it would feel good to sleep in, but now I'm hating it. I think my workouts help wake me up, because by the time I get to work, I'm ready to tackle the day. Today...its almost 9 and I am still dragging! I haven't missed Curves before work in a long time and don't plan to again. Breakfast was coffee and 2 bananas and cranberry juice, but today its sugar free cranberry juice.  I didn't walk on either break. Uh, I hate feeling sick!

Made it in to the dr. and got some meds. Hoping I feel better soon. Lunch was crackers and water. Dinner was at book club. I had a delish bbq chicken sand which, salad and I had one of each of the 5 very yummy cookies.

Friday - Still not feeling well. I have no where I need to go today, so I think I'll just take it easy all day. I didn't eat until dinner, which was white chicken chili.

Saturday - Honey nut cherrios for breakfast. Lunch was some chili. Dinner was 2 shredded bbq chicken sandwhiches.

Sunday - Breakfast was a few cookies and a milk. Lunch/dinner was at the in-laws. They had Navajo Tacos. I usually have one, then have another scone with honey and butter. Today, I decided I could only have one scone. So I had a bowl of chili and one scone with honey. No exercise this weekend, but I'm finally feeling better.

Monday-  I am going to have to quit coffee, I can not get over these shakes. :( Breakfast was a package of poptarts. Then I got shaky so I had some canned peaches and another package of pop tarts. And I've had TONS of water today, so I'm not sure about the shakes. I had one glass before the coffee and another right after. Now I'm up to like 5 glasses.

Lunch was half a chicken salad. Dinner was a bbq chicken sandwich. Went to Curves this morning and walked on both my breaks. I hadn't been to Curves for 4 days; missing just that much kicked my butt!

Tuesday - Went to Zumba this morning. I was thinking of just doing it with Curves at the same time, but the machine that tracks the Curves Smart wasn't working. So I decided to do just Zumba and then do Curves after wards when the internet was back up. So 30 mins of Zumba then another 30 of Curves. And today, I kicked butt. ;) It felt so good to get that much of a workout in. But I have to make a few recovery boards short so I have time to do my hair and make up afterwards.

Breakfast was coffee, 2 pop tarts and a yogurt. Lunch, lets just say its a good thing I did a full hour this morning because I pigged out. My uncle catered a lunchean for work and I helped myself to everything. Except the salad, I eat that all the time so I decided to skip it. I also had a second serving of potatoes and cobbler. But, yum, it was all so good. Until the heartburn hit early tonight. :p It was pretty bad, so I took a prilosec and skipped dinner.

Wednesday - Curves this morning. I'm going to try and go without coffee today. I've been drinking it for almost a year now, but I swear its affecting me this month. I'm not planning to QUIT it, just try to limit myself. And its not like I drink a lot. One mug a day. But to help me hopefully still get some caffiene (to avoid the headaches and hopefully wake me up), breakfast is a Vanilla Latte protien drink and some watermelon. Lunch was left overs from yesterday, but in much smaller portions! And no seconds! In the afternoon, I snacked on some more watermelon. Dinner was a tofu stir fry that my sister made. Not sure what I think of tofu, but it was ok. I don't know if I would ever cook it on my own, but now I know I won't turn my nose up at it either.

Week 81 and Curves measurements

My weight has bounced some this week, so I was pleasantly surprised when I got on the scale this morning and saw 173.8. :) Especially since I drank about a gallon of cranberry juice yesterday.

Highlights from this week: I saw someone this weekend I haven't seen in like 2 years. She told me she hardly recognized me. That made a perfect day even better. ;)

Still loving how well my clothes seem to fit me. I almost wore an old high school dress to a wedding, but my belly still sticks out just a little. I decided to hang it back up and set a goal to wear it to the work Christmas party. That is only like 2-1/2 months away. I can do this!!!!

My mom is working on getting healthy and loosing weight. So glad I can be an example to her. I love going to Curves and hearing the workers tell me they saw my mom yesterday. I'm so proud of her. My sister is also on a diet and it feels awesome to know we are all working on this together. I know I can always turn to them for support and it makes me try to be better as an example to them.

I ordered some new workout clothes from Curves. I hope I like them. I wanted some shorts since I get so hot about half way through my workout. Then I ordered a new cute tank top, a sports bra and a jacket. Its getting chilly in the mornings. I don't mind wearing a sweater while driving to Curves, but after my workout, when my hair is all done, I hate putting the sweater back on. It should hopefully all be here next week so I can wear the shorts in the 5K I'm doing. Which I think I'll mostly be walking. Maybe I can aim to run it next year.

Thursday - I was already to do a full hour at Curves with Zumba, but the instructor was sick today. So instead I did just the regular circuit, but since I had come determined to work hard, I pushed myself hard. I feel like it was one of my best workouts in quite a while. :) I also had another moment where I realize how far I'm come. When I started my diet, I could do 10 jumping jacks. I did several sets today between machines. :)

I mentioned last week I get the shakes alot. I'm convinced its my coffee. Yesterday, I skipped the coffee because of a belly ache. But today, I had my coffee and now I'm shaky. Grr, I hate it. But I can't give up my coffee. I'm going to have to just figure out the perfect amount of grounds to add, I must be making it too strong.

Breakfast was coffee and 2 bananas and a slice of wheat bread. Then around 11, I had half of a white bagel and 2 large glasses of milk. I'm hoping it will help flush out the caffeine shakes.

It must have helped cause I felt much better after about an hour. Lunch today was half a chicken salad and some of the left over apple crisp from last night. I have got to get back in control of my will power in that break room!

Lunch was half a chicken salad. Dinner was chicken Parmesan wraps. I walked on both my walks today.

Friday - Went to Curves before my dentist appt. this morning. Then afterwards I had a coffee and 6inch ham and egg sandwich for breakfast at Subway. Then we headed to the city. Lunch was a diet Pepsi and some mixed nuts. Dinner was at Ruby Tuesday. I had the Chicken Bella, mashed potatoes, salad bar and a lemonade. Then Josh and I shared Blondie for dessert. When we stopped at Maverick in Heber, I thought about getting a hot chocolate, but decided to pass since I had dessert.

Saturday - Breakfast was oatmeal and toast. Then I headed out to help my uncle with his catering business. Lunch was some cheesy potatoes. Dinner was baked beans, cheesy potatoes and some cobbler. Exercise today was just running around helping get the dinner ready.

Sunday - No exercise today, I spent the day in my craft room instead. Breakfast was coffee. Lunch was a few slices of cinnamon toast. Dinner was chicken Parmesan wraps.

Monday - Today was supposed to be my Curves measurements. I wanted to cancel cause I'm at 184.4. But J said she would come in early just to do my measurements, so I wasn't going to cancel on her. Turns out, she called in sick. So now I have 2 days to get the half a pound worked back off! I did Curves and walked on both my breaks.

Breakfast was coffee, yogurt w/ granola, and a large glass of water. No shakes today. Lunch was half a chicken salad. Dinner was tomato soup and 2 cheese sandwiches.

Tuesday - I am so PROUD of myself today! I decided to do 30 minutes of Zumba, followed by Curves. (Or as I told one lady, I wanted 1 full hour of torture.) Time wise, it cuts it close, but it is do-able. I will definitely do it again. :) I also walked on both breaks today.

Breakfast was coffee, yogurt w/ granola, a banana and a large glass of water. I should note, I drink water off and on all day, but don't record it. But while I'm trying to learn how to deal with the caffeine shakes, I'm making sure I have a large glass of water with my breakfast. Lunch was half a chicken salad.  Dinner was tomato soup, 2 cheese sandwiches and 3-6 cookies. Its hard to judge, since I ate some dough.

Wednesday - Should have stayed away from those cookies! I weighted 175 this morning. I freaked for a min, but then I reminded myself of how far I've come. And how I'm ok at this weight. Its just a pound, no big deal. I went online to see what my measurements were last month, and the first thing I saw was a picture of fat me. That helped me remember just how far I have come. So what if I'm up a little, its not the 65+ pounds I used to have. And when I did my measurement at Curves, I was down 1.5 pounds from a month ago. So I'm still creeping into the right direction. Overall, the freak out only lasted a few minutes. Which just shows how I've grown in other ways. A year ago, I would have freaked for a week and not eaten.

Breakfast was coffee, yogurt w/ granola, a banana, and a cranberry drink. Lunch was half a chicken salad with a hot link (no bun) and more cranberry juice. Dinner was a small taco salad and a brownie. And more cranberry juice.

No walking on my breaks today. I am not feeling well; I think I might be getting a UTI. If I don't feel better by tomorrow, I think I'll try to get in to see a doctor. Until then, lots (and LOTS) of cranberry juice.

Week 80

I forgot to mention it a few weeks ago, but at the beginning of summer, I set a few goals. One of them was to loose 10 pounds. I was at 185 that day. Yay, I did it!

Today, my weigh in was 173.4, so I'm only down about half a pound. But I didn't eat as well as I should have this week. I'm determined to do better next week.

I'm going to a wedding on Friday. I think I might wear a dress from high school! I tried it on again last night. I think my belly might look a little pre prego or something like that, so I can't decide for sure. But I am amazed that I can even get in it! I think I bought that dress 13 or 14 years ago. Josh asked me the other day if I'm the same size as when we got married. I really don't know, but I think I'm close if not there. Maybe I was one size smaller. My prom dresses are one size smaller and I haven't dared to try them on yet. I don't want to tear them or something.

This morning I was going to do Zumba for 30 mins and then do a Curves workout. But the instructor called in sick. So I'll try it next week.

Thursday  - Curves w/ zumba in the morning. Breakfast was coffee, yogurt w/ granola and a banana. Lunch was half a chicken salad and a 100 calorie pack of cookies I found in my desk. Dinner was tomato soup with a cheese sandwich, but with wheat bread. Also, I walked on both my breaks today.

Friday - I have got some baking plans today. I need to bake 2 cakes to get ready for Dasxen's birthday party this weekend. Also, Josh has been asking me to make him Craisin Oatmeal Cookies. We are going on a picnic tonight with the EEC's, so I thought this would be a perfect time to make him cookies. Then he can keep a few and I'll take the rest tonight. I did an hour on my exercise bike. And I think we found a treadmill. :) We just need to go look at it and decide where we are going to make room for it in our house.

Turns out, Josh didn't want to share his cookies, so we didn't take them to the picnic. I didn't eat much today, at least not until tonight. Tonight, I had a hamburger, 2 hot links, raspberry salad and some chips. And smores.

Saturday - What is it about a period that makes you loose control!? I know, I ask that every month. But that is because every month I swear I won't do this, but each month I do. Stupid hormones. Breakfast was coffee and bananas. Lunch was a hamburger and chips. Dinner was meatloaf. And I had several cookies today.

Sunday - Breakfast was coffee and some scrambled eggs and a small slice of meatloaf. Then I spent most of the day scrap booking and missed lunch. Dinner was a birthday party for Daxsen. I had chicken, mashed potatoes, and raspberry salad. Then I had cake and ice cream for dessert.

Monday - It was hard to get up for Curves this morning, but I did it. And I walked on both my breaks today. Breakfast was coffee and yogurt. Lunch was half a chicken salad. Dinner was meatloaf and mixed veggies.

Some days, I feel light headed. Like maybe my blood sugar is off or something. This happens like 95% of the time during the week, but very rarely on the weekends. I feel like its getting worse. So I'm going to try to eat a little bit more with my breakfast when I have coffee at work. I don't always drink coffee at home on the weekends.

Tuesday - Curves w/ zumba this morning. I think I might try doing them separately on Thursday and see how that affects my schedule of getting to work on time. I also walked on both my breaks today.

Breakfast was coffee, a slice of wheat bread, a banana and yogurt w/ granola. Lunch was half chicken salad. Dinner was meatloaf and mixed veggies.

Wednesday - I woke up around 3:30 not feeling well. At 4:30, I got up and got ready for Curves, still not feeling well. As I was driving to Curves, I realized just how committed I am to Curves right now. In the past, I would have reset the alarm to 5:30. But I did my Curves workout and walked on both my breaks.

Because of my stomach ache, I skipped breakfast and had a 7-Up instead. I even skipped my coffee. By lunch, I was feeling a little better so I had half a chicken salad and a yogurt. Dinner was a work dinner. I had a steak, potatoes, watermelon and some kind of apple crisp dessert w/ ice cream.

Curves Summer Workout Contest Results

It might seem dumb to everyone else, but I decided to take pictures of all the results from the contest Curves did this summer. I figured since it helped get me off my 6 month plateau, it needed to be recorded in history.

The flower is what we added to each week as we progressed. The petals were for meeting our goals, like drinking water, daily walks, etc. Because I started a week late, I only ended with 7 petals. The "W" is for each week we met our Curves workout goal. The "Z" is for any weeks we got in a Zumba workout. During the summer, Zumba was at 7 AM, while I was at work, so it was hard to earn a "Z", but on July 24th, I had work off and since Curves was open,. I went and earned my "Z"! I was so proud of myself!

Some days, I can't believe how far I have come. I love the person I have discovered along this journey. Not only have I found the skinny person trapped in a fat body, I've also grown in other ways. This diet is one of the hardest things I've ever done, but it has been so worth it.

Week 79

I'm still 173.8 this week, but since my period is due in 2 days, that is not a surprise. Hopefully I can just keep it there, and be down some more in a week or 2.

I noticed this weeks, my pants are fitting me so much better. I love that! Also, with a few pairs of jeans, I can slide them off without doing the button. LOVE that!

Thursday - Curves in the am. It was the best workout I had all week. I'm going to push myself to make next weeks workouts better every day. Late last night, I had a pleasant surprise. My husband got to come home early. I literally haven't seen him in 3 weeks! So we stayed up late. ;) When we finally went to bed, I debated about skipping Curves in the morning. Immediately I knew, if I did that, I would not go tonight because I would be in a hurry to get home to the hubs. So I left the alarm set and went this morning. I'm so glad I did!!! I know I would have regretted it if I missed it this morning. Because of billing meeting, I was only able to walk on one of my breaks today.

I knew we had billing meeting today, so I decided to skip the yogurt and see what snacks they had. I had a breakfast burrito and yogurt parfait. Lunch was a salad. Since it was the end of the week, I bought the smaller garden salad. Its not as good as the chicken one either, but it was ok. Dinner was sloppy joes and corn on the cob.

It has been a long week at work, and today, it really got to me. While at the store, I added a large bag of Reese's Peanut Butter Cups to my cart. But then I decided, it wasn't worth it. So I put them back and instead found something calorie free to lift my spirits, 3 red roses. :)

Friday - Ugg, Curves was a disaster, but that really was my fault. Today was my salon day, so I had to be there at 9:00. Curves closes early on Friday, so I wanted to go before my salon stuff. But I was just running late. When I got in the car to leave, I thought, don't bother, you don't have time. But they are going to be closed until Tuesday because of Labor Day, so I really wanted to go. When I go at 5 AM, there is no traffic and no cops. At 7:30, there is lots of traffic, cops and school buses. By the time I got there, I had 10 minutes to do a 30 minutes workout. I tried skipping the recovery boards, but that only worked for a few minutes, then other people showed up. So I did a full round and a few more machines, then rushed out to my appt. I was only 5 minutes late. I have been mad at myself all day. I feel like I wasted my time, my fuel and didn't get a good workout in.

Breakfast was a banana during my rushed drive. I didn't even take time to make coffee. Lunch was a sloppy joe. Dinner was a rib sandwich and corn on the cob.

After typing up my day today, it got me mad about my workout again. :( I feel like I was cheated today. So I jumped on my exercise bike and went for 75 minutes. Feeling better now.

Saturday - Breakfast, I can't remember. That is what I get for going a few days with out updating this blog. Lunch, can't remember that either, but I think it was a sloppy joe. Dinner was spaghetti and cranberry cake. Today, I tried out my new yoga dvd.

Sunday - Breakfast was cranberry cake. And later, the guilt helped me get an hour on my exercise bike. Lunch was corn on the cob. Today, we went horse riding. I forget how sore that makes me! Dinner was spaghetti, but no cake, since I had that for breakfast.

Monday - Breakfast was oatmeal. Lunch was corn on the cob. And the rest of the cranberry cake. I don't think I'll get any exercise in today because I'm so sore from the horse ride yesterday. Dinner was spaghetti.

Tuesday - This morning I did Curves/Zumba. I have to get up a little bit earlier now, but I think its worth it. I still would prefer to do Zumba by itself, then do Curves afterwards. I just can't decide if I have enough time to do both before work. I think I'll do them combined for a few weeks and see how it goes. Then maybe I'll have to try once doing them separately and see if I still have time to get my hair and makeup done for work. Cause sweating that much, I don't think I could do that before, I'll just end up redoing it anyways. I also walked on both my breaks. Breakfast was coffee and yogurt w/ granola. Lunch was half a chicken salad. This afternoon I snacked on some mixed nuts. Tonight, I had craft group. I was so tired! And I don't enjoy this group as much as I thought I would, so I told them it was my last time. Maybe if they met earlier...and I didn't stress over the sewing so much. Anyways, I went early to visit with Jessica. Andrew offered to get me some dinner while he was getting theirs, but my stomach was unsettled, so I decided to skip. But that didn't stop me later from enjoying some yummy pumpkin cookies Jessica made! They were delish. Not the healthiest dinner, but still yummy. ;)

Wednesday - Curves in the morning and walked on both my breaks. Breakfast was coffee, yogurt w/ granola and a banana. Lunch was a 6 inch roasted chicken sandwich. Dinner was tomato soup. Mostly, I just wanted to skip and go to bed because I was tired, but I decided it wouldn't be good to skip dinner 2 nights in a row, so I found something easy.
